Do I need an exact birth time?
No. Date is enough to start. If the hour is unknown, GPTbazi uses noon as a placeholder: the year, month, and day pillars stay the same, while the Hour Pillar and some timing themes may shift. You can regenerate later when you have a more precise time.
What is true solar time, and why does the Hour Pillar use it?
Clock time follows a time zone. True solar time follows the sun at your birth longitude. The Hour Pillar in BaZi is tied to that solar hour, so two people born at the same clock minute in different cities can receive different hour stems. GPTbazi applies the correction when you provide a city.
Does GPTbazi store my birth data?
