Daily hexagram
The sixty-four hexagrams, one day at a time
The hexagrams turn in a fixed order. Today’s date lands on one of them and tomorrow lands on the next. Nothing is drawn, and nothing is asked of you first.

Hexagram 16 of 64
Enthusiasm
Yù · Thunder over Earth
The judgment
Thunder breaks out of the earth and the whole field moves with it. Energy like this is easy to raise and hard to aim.
The image
Thunder comes up through the ground before anything is announced. What was prepared in advance moves without being pushed.
For reflection, not prediction.

How the hexagram is chosen
The sixty-four hexagrams are counted in King Wen order from 1 January 2026. Each calendar day moves the count forward by one, and the count starts again after 64, so the same date gives every reader the same hexagram.
The day turns at midnight UTC. Nothing on this page is calculated from your birth data, and the words are a prompt for reflection rather than a forecast of events.
Cast your own six lines
Today’s hexagram is fixed by the calendar. To read one that comes from six throws instead, cast it: the moving lines decide which passage you read, and the classical text is printed beside our reading of it.
Where the hexagram meets your chart
A hexagram speaks to the season. A Four Pillars chart speaks to you: the Day Master, the elements it needs, and the ten-year cycles running behind them.
