Hexagram 44
Coming to Meet
Heaven over Wind
The judgment
Wind runs under the whole of heaven and a single soft line has entered from below. Meeting something this small can change the shape, and the part it changes is not the one you were watching.
The image
Wind moves beneath heaven and reaches the ground on all sides. A small opening is enough to let a season in.
The six lines
Read from the bottom up. A line that moves is read here, and read again in the hexagram it becomes.
Line 1
Wanting it tethered the moment you meet, like a beast tied to a bronze post; tied it holds, let loose it brings trouble.

Line 2
There is fish in the kitchen; keeping it for yourself is fine, but serving it to outside guests turns it wrong.

Line 3
The seat is rubbed raw, so sitting is no relief and moving is no ease; every step halts and drags. Caught between going and staying, the position is precarious, yet nothing grave comes of it.

Reaching in to find the bag empty, and the very act of searching stirs up the situation.

Line 5
Wrapping a melon in willow leaves, keeping the good thing hidden inside while it drops down from above on its own.
Line 6
Coming to meet only the other's sharp corner, the contact is blunt and hard; stepping back lets it dissolve.
