Hexagram 26
Great Taming
Mountain over Heaven
The judgment
利贞,不家食吉,利涉大川Heaven is held inside the mountain: large force stored where it cannot spend itself. What is gathered here grows by waiting, and spends wrong if it leaves too soon.
The image
The mountain keeps the sky inside and shows a plain rock face. Capacity is built in the season when nothing shows.
The six lines
Read from the bottom up. A line that moves is read here, and read again in the hexagram it becomes.
- 初九Line 1

- 九二Line 2
舆说輹

- 九三Line 3
良马逐,利艰贞,吉。日闲舆卫,利有攸往
The good horses are let loose and run, yet the road ahead stays narrow; the going is hard, and holding the course matters. Each day, between runs, check the carriage and the guards, and once all is in order the journey can be made.
